What does this icon show?
Chevron pointing up inside a rounded square, for collapse toggles, back to top buttons and move up actions. Typical uses: collapse toggle on a card header, back to top button and move a row up in a list editor.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- A previous issue control in a detail view header with no button chrome, stepping up the list behind it
- An upvote box on a feature request or roadmap card, with the vote count beside it
- A collapse toggle on an expanded table row or order card, where the box marks the hit area
For a reorder control that shifts a row 1 place higher in an ordered list, use the Square Arrow Up icon. For a disclosure caret inside an accordion header that is already a button, use the Up icon. For a thumbs approval on a comment or reply, with no ranking by votes, use the Like icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
