What does this icon show?
Single chevron pointing up, for collapsing sections, scroll up controls and sort ascending markers. Typical uses: collapse an expanded accordion, scroll up button in a list and sort ascending on a table column.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- The open state caret on an accordion header or a sidebar Less row, flipped back to point down once closed
- A high priority marker on an issue row or ticket card, between medium and the double caret for highest
- The scroll button at the top of a long select or menu list that reveals the options above
For a row collapse toggle that has to draw its own box, with no button chrome around it, use the Up Square icon. For a collapse all control that closes every section of an outline at once, use the Chevrons Up icon. For a sorted column header showing the order now runs low to high, use the Arrow Up Wide Narrow icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
What icons go well with it?
