What does this icon show?
Chevron pointing down inside a rounded square, for dropdown buttons, expand toggles and move down actions. Typical uses: dropdown trigger button in a toolbar, expand toggle on a card header and move a row down in a list editor.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- A next issue control in a detail view header with no button chrome, stepping down the list behind it
- An expand toggle at the end of a table row or order card, where the box marks the hit area
- A filter dropdown box on a spreadsheet style column header cell, opening sort and filter choices
For a reorder control that shifts a row 1 place lower in an ordered list, use the Square Arrow Down icon. For a trailing caret inside a select or menu trigger that already draws a border, use the Down icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
