What does this icon show?
Chevron pointing left inside a rounded square, for back buttons, previous items and carousel controls. Typical uses: back button in a card header, previous item in a gallery and carousel previous control.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- Scroll controls in the header of a horizontal card shelf, such as related products or recently viewed
- The previous period control on a compact dashboard card, stepping back a week with no button around it
For a previous record control in a detail view header that steps through the list, use the Square Arrow Left icon. For a previous page stepper inside a button that already draws its own border, use the Left icon. For a round previous slide control floating over a photo or lightbox, use the Circle Arrow Left icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
