Outward left and right chevrons around three dots, for truncated ranges, pagination gaps and hidden content. Typical uses: pagination gap between page numbers, collapsed breadcrumb segment and hidden lines marker in a diff.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- An expand control on a folded run of unchanged lines in a diff, at 20px or more so the dots survive
- A collapsed middle segment of a long breadcrumb that opens the hidden levels in place
For a widen control with nothing folded away between the 2 sides, use the Chevrons Left Right icon. For a breadcrumb overflow that lists the hidden levels in a dropdown menu, use the Dots Horizontal icon. For an HTML tag or embed snippet marker in a developer tool, use the Square Code icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
