What does this icon show?
Rounded square with angle brackets and a slash between them, for code, HTML markup and developer settings. Typical uses: HTML embed code button, developer settings nav item and code view toggle in editor.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- The inline snippet button in a rich text toolbar, next to bold, italic and link
- Custom HTML blocks in a page builder's insert menu, for pasting a widget or a form
- The Embed option in a share dialog or menu that copies an iframe snippet for a site
For an Open in editor button, or a playground pane where a snippet runs beside its output, use the Code icon. For install steps and copyable shell commands on a docs or quick start page, use the Square Terminal icon. For a snippet pasted into a chat thread or a developer support reply, use the Message Programming icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
