What does this icon show?
Square chat bubble with a pencil inside, for editing sent messages, revising comments and drafting replies. Typical uses: edit sent message action, revise comment inline and draft reply button.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- Edit options in a sent message's hover toolbar or overflow menu, before the edited tag appears
- Edited markers beside a chat message or comment that changed after it was posted
- Draft reply markers on support tickets, where an agent's answer waits unsent
For editing a note, a profile bio or a post body outside any chat, use the Notepad Edit icon. For renaming a title or changing an address card in settings, use the Pencil icon. For starting a fresh conversation from a chat list header, use the Message Add icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
What icons go well with it?
