What does this icon show?
Speech bubble with a bottom tail and two lines of text, for chat messages, comments and support replies. Typical uses: comment count in a post footer, support chat launcher button and reply action in a discussion.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- Comment counts on feed cards and list rows, the bubble followed by a number
- Reply buttons under a review, answer or forum post that open an inline reply box
- Comment markers pinned to a design canvas or document margin, 1 per open thread
For a direct chat button that opens a 1 to 1 conversation, use the Message Text icon. For a thought or idea, such as an assistant's thinking step, use the Cloud Speech icon. For starting a new thread on a document or design, use the Message Add icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
What icons go well with it?
Message Edit and Message Minus sit beside it in the same toolbar or menu. More from the same family and the Communication set: Cloud Speech, Message Text, Note Text and Square Text.
When was it added, and what was it called before?
It joined the ReUI icon library on June 30, 2026. It was previously named message-text-2, and that install name still resolves to this icon.
