What does this icon show?
Square chat bubble with a plus sign inside, for starting conversations, composing and adding comments. Typical uses: new conversation compose button, add comment action in a thread and start chat button in inbox header.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- New message buttons in a team chat or DM sidebar header, opening an empty composer
- Add comment controls on a document margin or design canvas that start a new thread
- Start conversation buttons on a customer record in a helpdesk or CRM
For inserting a block, row or tree branch in an editor with no chat behind it, use the Plus Squared icon. For changing the wording of a reply that was already sent, use the Message Edit icon. For inviting a teammate into a group chat or channel, use the Add User icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
What icons go well with it?
