Layout Masonry icon FAQ
What does this icon show?
Four blocks of mixed heights in two staggered columns, for masonry grids, galleries and bento layouts. Typical uses: switch a gallery to masonry view, bento section in a page builder and image board layout option.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- Photo and moodboard view switches, for the option that keeps each image's own height
- Gallery blocks in a site builder for portfolios that mix portrait and landscape shots
- Saved pins and inspiration boards where cards of uneven length pack into columns
For a tile view where every card is the same size, use the Grid Four icon. For a dense thumbnail view with 3 or more small tiles per row, use the Grid Nine icon. For a task board where cards sit in status columns, use the Kanban icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
What icons go well with it?
Layout Header Columns and Layout Content Rail sit beside it in the same toolbar or menu. More from the same family and the Layout set: Layout Add, Layout Columns, Layout Dashboard and Layout Equal.
When was it added, and what was it called before?
It joined the ReUI icon library on June 30, 2026. It was previously named element-1, and that install name still resolves to this icon.
