What does this icon show?
Four rounded squares in a two by two grid, for categories, app launchers and switching to a tile view. Typical uses: category picker in a sidebar, switch a gallery to tile view and app launcher or widgets menu.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- An All categories entry in a store or marketplace sidebar that opens the full list of groups
- Pickers on product, post and expense forms that file each record under 1 category
- Directory pages for apps and integrations that sort listings into tiled groups
For a view switch that lays results out as tiles in place of rows, use the Grid Four icon. For a header shortcut that opens a panel of the company's other apps, use the Dots Grid icon. For free form tags a post can carry several of, filtered by name, use the Hash icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
