What does this icon show?
Archive box with a wide lid and a handle slot on the front, for archiving records, old data and stored items. Typical uses: move old records to the archive, archived orders tab in a dashboard and archive action in an email toolbar.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- Swipe actions on mail and chat rows that file a thread away without deleting it
- Closed projects, channels and boards, moved out of the active list but still searchable
- Read only badges on retired records, such as old orders kept for tax reasons
For packed orders and boxed stock waiting at a packing station, use the Parcel Sealed icon. For erasing a record for good, with no way to restore it later, use the Trash icon. For backups and offline copies kept on a disk outside the app, use the External Drive icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
What icons go well with it?
Inbox and Folder Right sit beside it in the same toolbar or menu. More from the same family and the Files set: Add Files, Add Folder, Add Notepad and Delete Files.
