What does this icon show?
Folder with an X in the center, for deleting folders, removing directories and discarding collections. Typical uses: delete folder action in a file manager, remove a directory from a project tree and discard an empty collection.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- The destructive last entry in a directory's context menu, behind a confirm dialog listing its contents
- Danger zone sections in project settings that delete a shared directory and everything inside it
- Retention rules that flag a shared directory for deletion, marked on its row until it is purged
For taking a directory out of a shared space or favorites while it stays in the drive, use the Minus Folder icon. For bulk delete in a selection toolbar that mixes documents and directories, use the Trash icon. For a failed sync status on a directory row in a backup list, use the Cross Circle icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
