Megaphone tilted up to the right with three sound rays, for announcements, news and promotions. Typical uses: announcement banner in an app header, what's new changelog entry and marketing campaign card.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- Changelog triggers in an app header that open a What's new popover, often beside the bell
- Announcement bars across the top of an app for a launch or a price change
- Broadcast composers in an admin console that send 1 message to every user or workspace
For a TV or radio signal, or a dish reception status in a network panel, use the Satellite icon. For weekly updates posted on 1 project for its own members, use the Notification Status icon. For sale labels and promo codes on a product card or in a cart, use the Discount icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
What icons go well with it?
Notification and Question Circle sit beside it in the same toolbar or menu. More from the same family and the Alerts set: Exclamation Badge, Exclamation Circle, Exclamation Hexagon and Information Circle.
When was it added, and what was it called before?
It joined the ReUI icon library on August 6, 2026. It was previously named megaphone-1, and that install name still resolves to this icon.
