What does this icon show?
Lowercase letter i inside a circle, for info tooltips, help text and contextual details. Typical uses: tooltip trigger next to a form label, info callout on a docs page and plan details link on a pricing card.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- Tooltip triggers beside a metric or a table header that explain how the number is worked out
- Neutral callouts in docs and settings, such as a note that a change applies after the next sign in
- Details panel toggles in a file or record view that open owner, size and dates
For a warning or a value that needs fixing before saving, use the Exclamation Circle icon. For a help menu or a link to support articles for a whole feature, use the Question Circle icon. For the info level of a severity filter whose critical rows carry a 6-sided warning, use the Information Hexagon icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
