Virus icon FAQ
What does this icon show?
Round virus particle with six knobbed spikes and two dots on its body, for infection and disease alerts. Typical uses: infection risk alert, disease information section and outbreak status badge.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- Case counts and outbreak maps on a public health dashboard, per region or per week
- Contagious illness flags on a patient record or a school sick day form, such as flu or measles
- Germ and infection guides in a symptom checker, 1 card per illness with how it spreads
For malware and infected files found by a device or file scan, use the Shield Cross icon. For vaccination status for a disease, such as a flu or measles shot, use the Syringe icon. For lab results for an infection, such as a swab that came back positive, use the Test Tubes icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
What icons go well with it?
When was it added?
It joined the ReUI icon library on June 30, 2026.
