What does this icon show?
Looped Mac command key symbol, for keyboard shortcuts, command palettes and hotkey hints. Typical uses: command palette trigger button, keyboard shortcut hint chip and shortcuts settings list row.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- The modifier glyph in a shortcut hint beside a menu item, shown only to visitors on a Mac
- The Cmd K chip at the trailing end of a header search box, shown to Mac visitors
- The Mac column of a shortcuts cheat sheet that lists Ctrl keys for Windows beside it
For shortcut hints for Windows and Linux visitors, where the modifier is Ctrl, use the Keyboard icon. For a shell or console panel where developers type text commands to run, use the Square Terminal icon. For the leading glyph of a header search box, or a search button that opens the palette, use the Magnifier icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
