What does this icon show?
Crescent moon opening to the upper right, for dark mode toggles, night forecasts and sleep settings. Typical uses: dark mode toggle, nighttime forecast indicator and sleep or do not disturb setting.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- The dark choice in a theme menu, or the glyph a header toggle shows while light mode is on
- Quiet hours and do not disturb switches in notification settings that mute alerts overnight
- Clear night hours in an hourly forecast strip, after sunset and before sunrise
For night sky events on a stargazing calendar, with viewing times for each, use the Circles Eclipse icon. For a header theme button that keeps the same glyph in light and dark mode, use the Night Day icon. For sleep logs with hours slept per night in a health or fitness app, use the Bed icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
