What does this icon show?
Circle with an inset half disc on its left side, for contrast, brightness and light or dark theme settings. Typical uses: contrast slider in an image editor, light and dark theme toggle and high contrast accessibility setting.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- Tone controls in a photo editor's adjust panel that push darks and lights further apart
- An accessibility switch that strengthens text and border separation for low vision readers
- Invert colors toggles in a reading app or a screen magnifier toolbar
For the light and dark theme switch in a site header or account menu, use the Night Day icon. For a 50/50 split or an A/B test share on a report card, use the Chart Pie Halves icon. For screen brightness or exposure that lightens the whole image, use the Sun icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
