What does this icon show?
Three vertically stacked dots, for kebab menus, row actions and more options on cards and lists. Typical uses: kebab menu in a table row, more actions on a notification card and options trigger on a sidebar item.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- Row action triggers at the trailing edge of table and list rows where width is tight
- The overflow control at the far end of an Android style top app bar
- More options on notification and comment cards stacked in a narrow feed
For a grip that moves rows or cards by press and hold, use the Drag icon. For collapsed crumbs in a breadcrumb trail or skipped runs in pagination, use the Dots Horizontal icon. For an overflow trigger floating over a photo or video tile, use the Dots Circle Vertical icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
