What does this icon show?
Three horizontal dots inside a circle, for overflow menus, more options buttons and hidden actions. Typical uses: overflow menu trigger on a card, more options button in a toolbar and hidden actions on a list item.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- The More tab at the end of a mobile tab bar that lists the remaining destinations
- Overflow triggers floating over photos, maps or video tiles that need a round hit area
- A more options control beside round avatars and round buttons in a profile header
For a more options control in a toolbar whose buttons sit in rounded tiles, use the Dots Square icon. For a trailing overflow trigger inside a dense card header or table toolbar, use the Dots Horizontal icon. For row menus down a narrow list where the trigger stands upright, use the Dots Circle Vertical icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
