What does this icon show?
Tilted two-part eraser on a base line, for eraser tools, clearing marks and removing drawn content. Typical uses: eraser tool in a drawing toolbar, clear annotations on a canvas and clear formatting in a text editor.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- Canvas tools in a paint, whiteboard or PDF markup toolbar that remove only the strokes they cross
- Format reset buttons in a rich editor toolbar that strip bold, color and links from a selection
- Reset controls on a signature pad or an annotated slide that wipe the ink and keep the page
For removing the last typed digit on a PIN pad or phone dialer, use the Backspace icon. For deleting a file, a row or a saved drawing for good, use the Trash icon. For marking words as removed in a doc while keeping them readable, use the Text Strikethrough icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
