Pointers icon FAQ
What does this icon show?
Signpost with two boards pointing left and right, for directions, wayfinding and choosing a path. Typical uses: directions link on a venue page, onboarding path choice step and wayfinding section header.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- Fork points in onboarding or a course outline, where the user picks 1 of 2 tracks
- Getting here sections on a venue or event page, with transit, parking and entrance notes
- Indoor wayfinding in a campus, hospital or mall app, pointing to wings and gates
For a checkpoint or finish point on a race or trail map, use the Flag icon. For turn by turn navigation from the user's position to the venue, use the Route icon. For a swap control that trades origin and destination, use the Arrow Right Left icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
What icons go well with it?
Icons from the same family and the Maps set: Compass, Flag, Focus, Geolocation, Geolocation Home and Globe.
When was it added?
It joined the ReUI icon library on June 30, 2026.
