What does this icon show?
Play triangle centred in a circle, for starting video, audio playback and watch tutorial links. Typical uses: video thumbnail play overlay, audio player start button and watch tutorial inline link.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- The play overlay centered on video thumbnails, course lesson cards and poster frames
- The large center play button in a music or podcast player, flanked by rewind and fast forward
- The resume control on a paused screen or voice recording, beside a ringed stop button
For the Watch or Live tab of a streaming app, or a media app's own splash mark, use the Circle Play icon. For a bare start glyph in a compact audio row or a transport bar with no rings, use the To Right icon. For a round continue or submit button at the end of an onboarding step or email field, use the Circle Arrow Right icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
What icons go well with it?
Double Left Arrow and Double Right Arrow sit beside it in the same toolbar or menu. More from the same family and the Media set: Circle Play, Google Play, Aperture and CD.
