What does this icon show?
Six-tooth cogwheel with a circle at the center, for settings, preferences and configuration controls. Typical uses: settings button in an app toolbar, open preferences panel from the sidebar and configuration entry in an account menu.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- The Settings entry at the foot of an app sidebar or in the account menu under the avatar
- A settings button in a widget or chart card header that opens that card's own options
- The Settings tab after Overview and Members in a project or workspace tab bar
For a hardware row for printers, scanners and card readers under the main preferences entry, use the Setting icon. For a list toolbar control that opens density, grouping and visible columns, use the Sliders icon. For a maintenance window banner or a repair request in a support portal, use the Wrench icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.

When was it added, and what was it called before?
It joined the ReUI icon library on June 30, 2026. It was previously named setting-2, and that install name still resolves to this icon.
