What does this icon show?
Five-pointed star with rounded points, for ratings, favorites and featured content. Typical uses: rate item with star rating, mark content as favorite and featured product highlight badge.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- Rating inputs and read-only score rows on review forms, product cards and app listings
- Starred toggles on mail, repo or file rows, outline until starred and filled after
- A Starred view in a mail or file sidebar that collects every row marked this way
For earned level scores and achievements in games and learning apps, use the Star Pentagram icon. For likes and wishlists that show a public count or save a product to buy later, use the Heart icon. For a save for later toggle on an article, recipe or job card, use the Bookmark icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
