What does this icon show?
Paperclip of looped wire tilted diagonally, for attaching files, adding attachments and linking documents. Typical uses: attach file button in a message composer, attachment indicator on an email row and add a document to a comment thread.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- A trailing button in chat and email composers that opens the file picker
- A count marker on inbox rows, task cards and tickets that carry files
- Supporting documents on expense, claim and invoice forms, such as a receipt or contract
For inserting a web address into text or copying a page address, use the Link icon. For a dropzone that brings new documents into a library or folder, use the Add Files icon. For keeping a message or note fixed at the top of a channel, use the Pin icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
