Briefcase Clock icon FAQ
What does this icon show?
Briefcase with a round clock badge on its flap, for work hours, deadlines and pending job applications. Typical uses: work hours or timesheet entry, pending application status and job deadline reminder.
When should I use it instead of a similar icon?
Use it for:
- In review status on a job seeker's application rows, before the employer replies
- Closing dates on a job post card, such as Applications close in 3 days
- Contracted hours on a job post or an employee record, such as Part time, 20 hours a week
For a candidate who accepted the offer and was hired, use the Briefcase Check icon. For clocking in and out of a shift, with the hours counting live, use the Timer icon. For a pending approval in a review queue with no job behind it, use the Hourglass icon.
Which styles does it come in?
4 styles: Outline, Solid, Duotone and Filled. Every style is drawn on the same 24 by 24 grid and installs as its own file, so you can switch styles without touching the layout.
How do I install it with the shadcn CLI?
Copy the install command from the panel above, in the style you want, and run it in your project. The shadcn CLI adds the icon as a React component that you import and render like any other. It draws in the current text color, so your text color and size classes style it. Icon installs need a ReUI Ultimate license.
What icons go well with it?
Icons from the same family and the Business set: Briefcase, Briefcase Check, Briefcase Cross, Circle Arrow Anticlockwise Clock, Circle Arrow Clockwise Clock and Square Arrow Anticlockwise Clock.
When was it added, and what was it called before?
It joined the ReUI icon library on June 30, 2026. It was previously named brifecase-timer, and that install name still resolves to this icon.
