# Release Lanes block

> Environment release lanes with live 6-stage meters, Promote gates and a service version matrix

Staging, Sandbox and Production release lanes with live 6-segment stage meters and Promote connectors between them. A canary waits at a Promote gate behind an AlertDialog; a Collapsible matrix flags held and failed services with Badges. CI/CD board.

- Type: Pro block
- Category: [Status Tracker](https://reui.io/blocks/chart/status-tracker.md)
- Page: https://reui.io/blocks/chart/status-tracker/chart-38
- MCP: `get_block("chart-38")`
- Built with: Alert Dialog, Avatar, Badge, Button, Collapsible, Dropdown Menu, Frame, Separator, Spinner, Tooltip
- Installs with a ReUI Pro or Ultimate license; setup: https://reui.io/docs/license-setup

## Best for

A release board of 3 environment lanes with ticking stage meters, lane to lane Promote dialogs, freeze with Undo and a version matrix

## Agent notes

- Replace `SEEDS`, `BASELINE_VERSIONS`, `COMMIT_ROWS` and `PERSON_BY_ID` in data.ts; `INITIAL_STATE` seeds one canary mid rollout
- A `setInterval` dispatches `tick` to `lanesReducer` every `TICK_MS`; feed real run progress through `LiveContext` in its place
- `confirmPromote`, `confirmEnvPromote` and `setFrozen` only dispatch to `lanesReducer` and raise a sonner `toast`; no deploy API is called

## When not to use

- A newest first list of every deploy with an environment filter, a start form and export: use [Deploy History](https://reui.io/blocks/chart/status-tracker/chart-39.md) (`get_block("chart-39")`)
- A full deployments page that adds a history grid and a release detail panel to the lanes: use [Deployments](https://reui.io/blocks/solutions/dev-ops/solution-dev-ops-3.md) (`get_block("solution-dev-ops-3")`)

## Install

```bash
npx shadcn@latest add @reui/chart-38
```

## About Status Tracker blocks

### When to use

- A fleet of cron jobs, each row charting its last 20 runs as duration bars with hover details
- Deploy pipelines and release lanes with per stage meters, promote gates and a version matrix

### When not to use

- One aggregated volume plotted per hour, with no history per row: use the [Bar Chart blocks](https://reui.io/blocks/chart/bar-chart.md)
- Summary tiles that pair a value with a mini trend and no row list: use the [Sparkline blocks](https://reui.io/blocks/chart/sparkline.md)

### Agent notes

- Rows come from constants in the block folder and `Chart` takes no props, so map your job or deploy records onto the same fields

Every ReUI item has a twin like this one; the index is https://reui.io/llms.txt. Agents with the ReUI MCP (https://reui.io/docs/mcp) get the same guidance from the getters named above.
